Philanthropy is a Core Value at Bard

Our founder, Dale Bard, understood the importance of giving back to the community that had supported him, his family and his business. From the beginning, he fostered a sense of corporate philanthropy in Bard Manufacturing Company.

In December 2003, the Bard Family Foundation was created to fund charitable projects and make the communities where our employees live and work a better place. The projects include actively supporting engineering and business scholarships for high school students, faith-based programs and community capital improvement projects directed toward youth, athletics, the fine arts and education.

A special Bard 100th anniversary donation funded the 2014 construction of the Bard Centennial Fountain on the Williams County Courthouse Square in Bryan, Ohio. In 2022, the Bard-Steel Family Foundation continues the tradition today.
